Do you have grit? Why or why not? How did you get it or how did you lose it? What steps do you need to take to develop it? How can school and more specifically this class help you develop your grit. Are you even interested in developing it?
Grit is passion and perseverance for long term goals. Its having stamina and sticking with one's future. With that being said I believe I have grit.I have enough drive to always push forward. Gaining grit is all will power, its only there if u want it to be there. There are many reason on how people develop grit by constant failure and wanting more out of life. Some are taught there is no other way to be, there is no choice but to keep going and keep striving for the best. There are also people unbeknowest to them that certain situation calls for you to toughen up, because people rely on you to be the best you can be.
Then there are people that are broken, they may have fallen off emotionally that they don't want to strive for more/ Usually its a broken spirit within that can't push you to get back up. Example if your support system such as family suddenly becomes non-supportive, study shows that you can fall off the wagon- if you depend on them enough for them to make that kind effect on you. That goes back to the will power, are you strong enough to be your on support system? Can you motivate yourself? Grit is the strength of your character and that can be built up or broken. School helps the people who have a growth mindset. Students that always wan o do better and improve are much grit-ter. They want to know more, learn more. Excel in what they have become good at, and even things they don't understand but want to get it. That's why gritter people go further in life.
This is a really thoughtful, analytical piece on grit. It's all about getting back up after you fall down--no matter what caused you to fall. I agree you do have grit. You are a strong writer in that you support your opinions with examples and evidence. However, please be mindful of punctuation and. It undresses your clear and strong writing in a bad way.
